Translation

My friend called me about a problem. She was in trouble with translating a business document. She made me see the document. I thought something was strange right away. The business document was written by her boyfriend in English. And then a translater translated the document into Japanese. She stood in between her boyfriend and the translater. I didn't know how to translate. Though I knew how to write a business document. A lot of difficult business words were used in the document and the sentences weren't complete. It was like a document written by a freshmen at work. They used a lot of difficult words but they didn't understand the meaning of them.

My flower works

I exibited my work in a flower exhibition. Luckily my work was selected as one of the superior works. Many people helped me with my work. At first I thought of the concept my work. I came up with the idea to use straws but I didn't know how to use them. I consulted with my teacher about the work. She advised me to stick straws through branches. I liked her idea but I couldn't imagine how to make it. And then I decided to use straight branches, I then liked the idea. Another teacher advised me to use branches that aren't formed. Next I prepared the materials. I looked for straw. Fortunately my friend's grand father had a lot of straws. He said "You are lucky because I have good straws which I picked last year. Straws this year were in bad condition because it rained heavily and it was could this summer." Next, I searched  for brown strings. Fortunately my client had the perfect strings that I was looking for. I also looked for red peppers. My teacher found them in a market. Finally I prepared the branches. Then I had everything ready.

Apec

Since Apec was held at the Pacifico hall today. There were a lot of policemen on every street in Sakuragicho. On top of that there were policemen at the main stations, some bridges and pedestrian bridges of the area as well. With my heavy bags I headed to a station nearby this area. I had a big tote bag on my shoulder and held a paper bag in my right hand. I was walking on the main street. I walked passed some policemen. Suddenly I felt like someone was staring at me from behind. I turned my head to look, and then a policeman was walking behind me. I kept walking as usual. The policeman kept walking too. I was scared of him so I began to walk with quick steps. After walking for another 50m, I turned around to look. Then he was gone. I was cautioned by the policeman but all I had in my bag was apple juice.

Self service

I went to a gas station nearby my house. The gas station was self service. I stopped my car and I was in trouble right after. It was my first time to go to a self service gas station. At first I opened the lid to the gas tank and then there was another cap. I tried to open the cap but I couldn't. I was trying to open the cap for 3 to 4 minutes, then a service staff approached me. He asked me "May I help you?". I answered him " I can't open the cap". He was able to open it and he asked me again "Do you need anything else?" I asked him how to pour gasoline into the tank and how to pay. He kindly taught me how to do those things. I had everything done by the staff. It wasn't self service.

Modern art-Japan

Last month I attended my friend's wedding ceremony in Fuji with my job partner. We spent a night at a hotel after wedding. Next day we planned to enjoy the area. We consulted on where to go. We decided to go to the Cremachis garden park nearby the hotel. When we arrived at the park we were shocked. Unfortunately the flower's best season had finished. There were no flowers in the park. We changed our plan. A photo exhibition was held besides the park. We went to see the exhibition. When we entered the place we were surprised at the works. 2big photos were displayed on desks. There were a lot of small stones on those pictures. We spoke no words during this moment. We moved on to the photos. There was another big photo displayed on a desk. The photo seemed to have been taken at a cafe. 2 small photos and a small white stone were placed on this photo. We had noticed our misunderstanding. We had thought that it was a photo exhibition, but in fact it was a modern art exhibition.
