Exra gift

I went to a book store to buy a magazine. I couldn't decide between two magazines. After all I bought the magazine that had an extra gift with it. I went to Mcdonalds for lunch. I ordered the new hamburger. Then I received an Eco bag that came with the hamburger. After lunch, I went back to my office. I talked to my florist friend. She had a lot of plastic vases. I asked her what they were. She answered "I will give these as an extra gift to the customers who will buy flowers". If you get an extra gift when you buy something, you will be more happy than getting nothing.

My theme for the flower exhibition

I decided my theme for the flower exhibition next month. The theme is going to be about a famous story of a princess who was born from a bamboo tree,"Kaguyahime". This is a famous Japanese classical literature known as one of the oldest in Japan. It was written by someone in the Heian period. I will express the story through my work.

The cafe with the goats

I had a meeting with my client in Shibuya. We went to a cafe. We decided to go to this cafe because we can drink coffee, we can use the internet and their were only a few customers. It was a normal cafe except for one thing. There were goats. Their house was at the entrance. You can drink and eat while watching them. Their house was very fashionable. They were often surrounded by customers and children who lived nearby. The cafe was very unique.

Traditional Sushi Restaurant

My boyfriend took me to a traditional sushi restaurant. It is his ex-teammate's restaurant. At first an appetizer appeared in front of us, and then some seafood dishes. We enjoyed drinking sake and talking with the chef while we were having the food. After we heard his stories about cooking, we felt that the food was more delicious than before. In the end we had sushi. The seafood was laid in front of us so we were able to pick the ones we like and have them made into sushi. Lately sushi restaurants with this style are decreasing. There were a few around my house but they closed down. Most of the sushi restaurants are the new type, where it is very cheap and the sushi are revolving. We can eat sushi right from the moment we sit. A new way of Japanese fast food.

Rainy Season

The rainy season had started today. I am depressed when it is a rainy day. If possible, I don't want to go out in the rain and instead work at my office all day. I had occured that this thought had crossed other people's minds. I called one of my clients, who is always difficult to catch his phone because he is always out. But this time he answered his phone. I had sent an e-mail to another client, and usually takes time to send a reply. But this time that didn't happen. He replied quickly. I could immediately contact my clients because of the rain, most of them were working in their offices. I could proceed my work due to the rain. The rainy day wasn't bad after all.

Japanese nailist

I went to a nail salon in Ginza last month. There I saw a foreign customer. The foreigner was talking to one of the nailist for about 3 minutes, and then she left. I asked my nailist about foreign customers. She said that there are a lot of foreigners. She also mentioned that Japanese nailists are known to be more skillful than the nailists in other countries. Some people asked her to write Kanji on their nails. It was very interesting to hear her story.
